The planetarium has been acknowledged under the sponsorship of an Institute involved in research and academic activities in astronomy and astrophysics since 1993. At present, M P Birla Institute of fundamental Research is engaged in the planetarium and scientific activities. Also, it has been denoted by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research organization. The planetarium has completely restructured its exhibition galleries and all public utilities for the enjoyment and well being of the visitors in addition to the sky theatre.
